About Me: How Chocolate Changed My Career

I’d been a personal trainer for six years and thought I knew it all—deep into the science, obsessed with making sure my advice was solid. Then one day, my fiancée changed everything with a simple comment:

👉 “I need chocolate.”

I remember thinking, How can you need chocolate? And like the genius I was, I said it out loud. Her response?

“How do you know? You’re not in my body.”

Fair point. She was right—I had no idea what I was talking about.

Determined to understand, I dove into research. That’s when I found a study showing that women burn more calories during the luteal phase of their cycle and often crave chocolate due to hormonal shifts. The extra 200–400 calories burned naturally increases appetite—meaning cravings weren’t just random.

Why This Matters

That moment humbled me. It also fired me up. I realized so much training advice is built around men’s physiology, with women’s needs overlooked in research. And that pissed me off.

So I made it my mission to specialize in women’s training, using science—not guesswork—to help women train smarter, feel stronger, and get real results.

And it all started with chocolate. 🍫
